The workshop addressed awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and its most important symptoms by urging them to conduct periodic examinations, as early detection goes a long way in its treatment and coordination between the Cancer Council in Iraq and the disease unit at the Ministry of Health.
The workshop summarized the need for public health education to enhance awareness among women and their families about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. and understand the importance of early detection and treatment. More women will seek specialist advice when they first suspect they have breast cancer and before any cancer reaches an advanced stage.
It is worth mentioning that this activity falls within the first axis of our awareness program on the importance of early detection of breast diseases in conjunction with Pink October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month).
