“Women’s Health and Early Screening: A Fundamental Step in Breast Cancer Prevention”
The lecture was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Mervat Mohammed Khalid on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The seminar discussed what early screening is, types of common cancers recommended for early screening, benefits of early screening, overcoming the fear of screening, how to conduct screenings, and the role of women/men/family in encouraging screening. The seminar highlighted the importance of raising awareness that prevention is better than cure, combating the fear of the word “cancer” and replacing it with positivity and confidence in modern medicine, promoting early detection culture as part of the family’s health routine, and empowering individuals to make health decisions that save their lives and the lives of their loved ones.
The seminar concluded with two slogans:
“Early screening… your decision today, your safety tomorrow”
“Don’t wait for symptoms… get screened and be reassured.”
