The College enters for the first time as a Reporter in the
Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026 by Times Higher Education
Alyarmok University College has recorded an important step in developing its international academic presence after entering for the first time as a “Reporter” in the Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026, which is one of the most important modern rankings that measures the strength of universities in interdisciplinary research.
This achievement reflects the College’s development in the field of scientific research and its orientation towards enhancing collaboration between different disciplines, in line with the requirements of global rankings.
What does entering as a Reporter mean?
The College’s entry (as a reporter) indicates that it has become among the universities that possess the initial qualifications required to compete for entry into such rankings.
This also means that Alyarmok University College is prepared to appear with an actual ranking in the coming years when it completes the research requirements and criteria that influence the final result.
The ranking methodology includes three main axes:
Inputs: These include research support, infrastructure, and funding.
Process: This evaluates the level of collaboration between disciplines and the management of joint research projects.
Outputs: These are the most important and include interdisciplinary scientific publishing, citations, and innovation.
Alyarmok University College continues to implement developmental steps to strengthen its research activity, enhance international publishing, and support projects that bring together multiple disciplines, paving the way for real competition in global rankings in the coming years.
