In the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Alyarmok University, Prof. Dr. Thabet Abdul-Razzaq Zaher,and the faculty’s professors and students, the Department of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Antimicrobial Resistance Division of the Diyala Health Department, held a scientific awareness seminar on the occasion of the World Antimicrobial Resistance Week, and the lecturers in the seminar were:<\/p>\n\n

Lect. Dr. Qusay Jassam – Department of Pharmacy Qasim Mahmoud – Pharmacy DepartmentGeneral Pharmacist Yahya Thamer – Diyala Health DepartmentSenior Biologist Iman Ismail – Diyala Health Department<\/p>\n\n

The panel discussion emphasized the need for coordination and joint cooperation between the Department of Health and the Department of Pharmacy at Alyarmok by intensifying awareness campaigns, introducing the risks of bacterial resistance to antibiotics, and preparing studies and research that willeducate for the rational use of antibiotics and reduce the risk of infections with drug-resistant microbes.<\/p>\n\n
