Under the patronage of the Dean of Alyarmok University College, Professor Dr. Thabet Abdul Razzaq Dhaher,<\/p>\n\n

The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the College, in cooperation with the Human Rights Division and Al-Ta’afi Organization, held an awareness seminar titled (Prevention of Addiction Risks) on Wednesday, April 18, 2026. <\/p>\n\n

The seminar was presented by Professor Hussam Abdul Awda, a member of the administrative body of Al-Ta’afi Organization. During the seminar, he addressed the dangers of addiction and its negative effects on individuals and society, in addition to reviewing prevention methods and the importance of enhancing health and psychological awareness among students. <\/p>\n\n

The seminar covered several important topics, most notably: the definition and types of addiction, the factors contributing to its spread, its health, psychological, and social impacts, as well as the role of families and educational institutions in mitigating it. The seminar also aimed to raise students’ awareness of the dangers of addiction, develop healthy behaviors, strengthen their intellectual and psychological resilience, and encourage them to adopt sound lifestyles free from negative influences. <\/p>\n\n
