February 13, 2026As part of strengthening the practical aspect of historical studies and linking theoretical knowledge to the archaeological field, under the patronage of Alyarmok University College and under the supervision of Asst. Lect. Nidal Younis Majeed and Asst. Lect. Hassan Mohammed Ali, the Department of History Arts organized a scientific visit to the ancient city of Babylon on 2026-02-10, within scientific programs aimed at developing students’ civilizational awareness.
This visit aimed to provide an opportunity for direct observation of Babylonian archaeological landmarks and to examine the evidence of Mesopotamian civilization in its original environment. It also served as an academic forum for dialogue between faculty members and students on issues of archaeological documentation, heritage preservation, and the importance of historical sites in shaping cultural identity.
This event comes within the College’s vision of supporting field-based scientific activities, involving students in the research experience outside the classroom, and affirming the pivotal role of academic institutions in safeguarding the civilizational legacy and conveying it to future generations.
