August 26, 2026
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Office of the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs has issued a letter of appreciation and gratitude to the women heads of Women’s Affairs units and divisions in public and private universities and institutes, in recognition of their outstanding efforts and active role in carrying out their assigned responsibilities
September 7, 2026Through a commendable initiative by the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, and with generous support from Al‑Ni’mah Scientific Office, the Excellence Campaign was launched to honor top-performing students from all Colleges and Departments of Pharmacy, in appreciation of their efforts and academic distinction and to encourage them to continue their academic journey. The top graduating students from our department were honored, namely:
First student: Salma Laith Abdulrazzaq
Second student: Maryam Zuhair Salman
Third student: Huda Hadi
The Department of Pharmacy was also honored with a shield (Excellence Campaign) in appreciation of its academic role in supporting the academic journey.
During the ceremony, the student Basma Karim Muhaisin was honored as the top student at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad. Basma was one of our students in the first and second years, and she transferred to the University of Baghdad after achieving the top rank in the second year. This achievement that Basma attained at the University of Baghdad is a major accomplishment that calls for pride; our students excel wherever they are, and we have every right to be proud of them and their achievements.
Therefore, on my behalf and on behalf of the teaching staff in our department, I congratulate our distinguished students on this well-deserved honor, asking Almighty God to grant them success in their academic and professional paths.
I also extend my sincere thanks to the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, represented by Dr. Haider Fouad Al‑Saigh, President of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, for adopting this initiative and supporting academic excellence and distinction.
My thanks also go to Al‑Ni’mah Scientific Office, represented by Dr. Dalia and Dr. Abdullah, for the financial and logistical support of this campaign, wishing them continued success and prosperity.
